SHANNON MARIE BECK, age 46, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, May 29, 2021, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, June 1, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Robert “Ox” Marina and Rev. Myron Parkerson officiating, with interment in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Shannon was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, and a CNA for many years for Middle Georgia Nursing Home and Heart of Georgia Nursing Home. She was a devoted mother to her daughter and had a deep love for all her family. She was a hard worker who never looked down on others. She was the type of person who would sacrifice her own needs and wants to make sure others less fortunate had what they needed. She enjoyed trips to the beach with her family and enjoyed listening to 80s hair bands, like Guns N’ Roses and Poison. Shannon was the daughter of the late Donna Kitchens Beck and Dave Ezra Beck. She is survived by her Daughter – Joy Duron of Eastman; Sister – Jade Hilliard of Rhine; Nephew – Vann Rogers; Aunts and Uncles – Ann Sapp of Eastman, LaJoy Killingsworth of Dublin, Janice Wilkerson of McRae, Dawn Marina (Ox) of Rentz, Dale Beck of Eastman, and Scott Gurien of Eastman; Friend – Justin Moye; Numerous Cousins and Friends. The family may be contacted at the residence of Ann Sapp, 1239 WPA Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-2:00PM Tuesday, June 1.
