Charles E. Nelson. age 74, of Eastman died Thursday, February 12, 2009 in Northside Medical Center in Macon. Funeral services were held at 11 :00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2009 in Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Hardin and Rev. Jack Lee officiating. Interment followed in Orphans Cemetery with Dr. Jerry Peele officiating. Mr. Nelson, a native of Dodge County, was a member of First Baptist Church, a Veteran of the U. S. Army. retired Dodge County Magistrate Judge, and the retired owner/operator of Jessup Loan Company. He is preceded in death by his parents Margaret Thomas Nelson and Howard Nelson: and two brothers, Lewis Nelson and Bodie Nelson. Survivors include his wife; daughter; granddaughter and step-daughter. Serving as pallbearers were ... ? was the soloist for the funeral services. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman is serving the family.
