Vidalia, GA- MRS. LOUISE TOMBERLIN SELPH, age 91, of Vidalia, GA formerly of Lake Sinclair, GA, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Community Hospice House in Vidalia. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Friday, May 12, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. LaDon Connell and Rev. Ronnie Moore officiating, with interment in Sugar Creek Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Selph was born in Irvin County, a graduate and valedictorian of Mystic High School in Irvin County, a charter member of Sugar Creek Congregational Methodist Church and an associate member of Lakeshore Community Church at Lake Sinclair. She was former employee of Stuckey's Inc. and a retired employee of Robins AFB. She enjoyed numerous arts & crafts, crocheting, handmade quilts and crossword puzzles. Louise was daughter of the late Effie Bell Snow Tomberlin & James Oliver Tomberlin and was preceded in death by her husband of 58 1/2 years – Grover H. Selph. Survivors: 2 Daughters; Son; 8 Grandchildrenirle; Several Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; 6 Sisters-in-Law; Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
