Savannah - Claude Mitchell “Junior” Dykes, Jr., 82, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Savannah Memorial Health University Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at 11:00 A.M., in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Claude was born on October 20, 1938, in Beckley County, Georgia to the late Claude Sr. and Alice Smith Dykes. He was proceeded in death by his spouse, Evelyn “Nell” Dykes. He was in the last graduating class of Chester High School and attended Tennessee Temple University School of Divinity in Chattanooga Tennessee. He was a retired minister (preacher of the gospel) and served many churches all over the Southeast United States. Survivors include his children. Grandchildren and several sister/brother-in-law’s, nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 Macedonia Church Rd, Cochran, GA 31014 or to your local church. The family will greet friends an hour before the service at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
