EASTMAN - William E. "Billy" Glass, age 55, passed away Friday morning, August 1, 2003 at Emory Hospital in Atlanta after a short illness. He was born in Pulaski County and has resided in Dodge County most of his life. He was a member of Eastman First United Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Edith D. and Albert D. Glass, Sr., of Eastman. -As a young man, Mr. Glass had attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and for many years as an adult, he was actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America in Atlanta. He was involved in the American Turpentine Farmers Association and a member of the Georgia Forestry Association. Mr. Glass was actively involved in Agriculture and the Timber Industry. He was an owner and director of Land Management Associates, Inc., in Eastman. -Survivors include wife; daughter; son; stepchildren; sisters; brother; four step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. -Visitation will be held 7:00 until 9:00 P.M., Sunday evening at Horne/Towns Funeral Home, Inc., Eastman, GA. -Services will be held 11A.M., Monday, August 4, 2003 at First United Methodist Church, in Eastman, GA, with Dr. Billy Lee, Rev. Russ Elkins, and Rev. Royce McClelland officiating. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery. -Horne/Towns Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
