Lawrence Whittington of Rochelle, formerly of Chauncey, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his residence in Rochelle. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 10th in the Sand Grove Cemetery in Milan. Dahl McDermitt will officiate. Mr. Whittington was born on November 10, 1952 in McRae. He was son of the late Frank Lawrence Whittington and Elise McCranie Barnett. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Eastman, Ga. and was a self-employed carpenter.He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Gilbert Whittington, grandparents-Andrew and Ruby Jump McCranie, daughters-Shelly Jones and Andrea Whittington, sister-Rhonda W. Adams and aunts-Donnie M. Gunn and Ruth M. Lightbourne. Survivors include: son and son-in-law, daughter, brother and step-brother and a step-sister, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
