Cochran - Larry B. Floyd, age 62, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin. A visitation will be held Friday, January 6, 2017, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Mathis Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Monday, January 9, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. in Bowers Cemetery with military honors.
Larry had lived most of his life in Cochran. He was the son of the late Luther and Nada Lois Suter Floyd and was preceded in death by his son David L. Floyd. He was owner and operator of Larry Floyd Salvage and Mechanic Shop and was known as the “World’s Fastest Wrecker Driverâ€. He was a US Marine Veteran and a Christian.
Survivors are his children; several grandchildren; his brothers; sisters; several nieces and nephews.
