MRS. MONTINE MANNING LOYD, age 82, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home in Eastman. Graveside services will be held at 4:00PM Wednesday, May 8, at Orphans Cemetery, with Dr. Jerry Peele officiating. Mrs. Loyd was born in Cochran, a graduate of Bleckley County High School, a graduate of beautician school in Macon, and was a self-employed beautician for over 20 years. She was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday school class and was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Montine was daughter of the late Fannie Belle Bozeman Manning and Rube Manning and was preceded in death by her Husband of 58 years, James Loyd, and 9 siblings, Calvin Manning, Joe Manning, Grady Manning, Marion Manning, Arilus Manning, Arthur Manning, Opal Helms, Irene Darsey, and Laura Cady. Survivors: Son; 3 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren; Brother; 4 Sisters-in-Law; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. The family may be contacted at the Loyd residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00PM-3:30PM Wednesday, May 8.
