MRS. SUSAN WARD EVANS, age 56, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, July 27, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Arnold Rye officiating, with interment in Cottondale Cemetery. Susan was born in Clinton, TN, before moving to Eastman at age 4. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, a 1986 graduate of Dodge County High School, and later attended vocational school. She was a homemaker, loved shopping at various thrift stores, crafts, sewing, and spending lots of time with her grandbabies, who were her heart and joy. She worked every day to be the best mother and “MeMe” she could be. Susan loved celebrating with her family on any special occasions, especially during the holiday seasons when she could have all her family together. She was preceded in death by her Father, Earl Ward, and Stepfather, Wyndall Simmons. She is survived by her Husband; Daughters; Grandchildren; Mother; Sisters; Brother; Step-Brothers; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law; Sister-in-law; Several Nieces and Nephews.
