MR. BARNEY DEAN SAPP, age 63, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, June 10, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with interment in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Dean was a lifelong resident of Eastman, a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, and a retired forester. He worked in the wood industry for over 25 years. He pulped wood and logged for W.C. Harrell Logging for several years and cruised timber and was a field rep for Gay Wood Company for many years. He was a devoted family man, a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing softball, cooking, and family trips to Paradise Park. Dean was son of the late Ruby Joyce Parkerson and Barney Jerome Sapp, and was preceded in death by a Brother, Karon Sapp. The family may be contacted at the Sapp residence, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 5:00PM-7:00PM Saturday, June 9.
