C. Mitchell Dye, age 87, of Eastman, died Friday, December 25, 2009 in Dodge County Hospital. Funeral services were held at 4:0(0 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2009 in Southerland Funeral Chapel with Gary Ryals and Rev. Charles Robinson officiating. Interment followed in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joel Owens officiating. Mr. Dye, a native of Dodge County, was a member and deacon of Friendship Baptist Church, and was a retired textile employee of Reeves Brothers Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isabella Mae Alligood Dye and Charlie Martin Dye; a daughter, Barbara Ann Rogers; a son, Charlie Dye; and a grandson, Robert David Bowen. Survivors include two daughters; 12 grandchildren; two sisters; and 16 great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were grandsons. ? was pianist for the funeral service. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman was in charge of arrangements.
