MRS. MARIE INEZ FAULK WRIGHT, age 92, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, March 21, 2025, at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home in Eastman, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, March 25, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Dwayne Burney officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Marie was born in Winter Garden, FL on December 12, 1932, and was a member of Eastman Congregational Holiness Church. She attended primary school in Florida, before moving to Eastman at age 13 and attended Dodge High School. At age 18 she married Willie Moses Wright and enjoyed 58 years together, raising their five children. She was a retired seamstress for C & J Manufacturing and Dowling Industries for over 50 years. She enjoyed her job immensely and made many friends through her work. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was affectionately known as “Granny Annie”. Mrs. Wright loved reading, tending her plants, cooking for her family, dining out and watching Walker Texas Ranger and John Wayne movies. She was the center of her family and will be greatly missed. She was the daughter of the late Sara Evans Faulk and Walter L. Faulk, and was preceded in death by her Husband, Willie Moses Wright, and Sons, Ricky Wright and Willard Wright, Granddaughter, Karen Wright and Siblings, Frank Faulk, Nancy Lloyd and Grace Mullis, and her Daughter-in-law, Marlene Smith Wright. She is survived by her Daughter; Sons; 15 Grandchildren; Numerous Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren; 4 Sisters; Brother; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. In addition to flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org. and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-2:00PM Tuesday, March 25.
