MRS. ANNIE JOYCE DUNN BREWER, age 85, of Cadwell, GA, died Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home in Eastman, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, April 5, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. Greg Lowery officiating, with interment in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Cadwell, GA. Joyce was born in Wrightsville, GA, and raised in Chauncey, GA. She was in one of the last graduating classes from Chauncey High School. She was a former seamstress for C & J Manufacturing, worked at Red Top Grocery in Cadwell, and worked in the food service department for Eastman YDC and American Yard Products in McRae before retiring from Haynes Shirt Factory in Eastman, GA. She was a very creative person. She loved reading, sewing, and always made sure to care for the flowers in her yard and the vegetables in her garden. Her steadfast commitment to her faith was the motivation behind everything she did. She lived every day in service to the Lord, and never missed a devotion in her Bible a day in her life. She prayed every day through the good times and the bad, and she clung onto this faith until the Lord called her home. Joyce was the daughter of the late Virginia Dunagan Dunn and Lewis Dunn and was preceded in death by her Husband, James Brewer, Siblings, Margaret Brewer, Bobby Dunn, Gerald Dunn, Sr., and Edna Giddens, and Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law, Edmond Brewer, Clayton Brewer, William H. Brewer, Dale Gilbert, Jeanette Kelly, Margie Kelly. She is survived by her Daughter; Granddaughter; Brothers; Sister-in-law and Brothers-in-law; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. The family may be contacted at the residence and will receive friends in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Cadwell, GA from 1:00PM-2:00PM Friday, April 5.
