MR. BOBBY McCOOK, SR., age 86, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, GA. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM Monday, January 16, in Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Todd Crosby officiating. Bobby was born and raised in Lee County, GA and was the youngest of 15 children. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy for six years and attended Ocmulgee Baptist Church in Eastman. He farmed and drove a log truck for a few years and was a former carpenter and construction worker for several construction firms over the years. He later retired as a project manager for Massee Builders in Fitzgerald. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Bobby was the son of the late Fannie Mae Howell McCook and Madison McCook and was preceded in death by his Former Wife, Ellen Marie Pickett McCook and his 14 Siblings. He is survived by his Daughter; 2 Sons; 5 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. The family may be contacted at the residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-2:00PM Monday, January 16.
