ilton Eugene Moore, 91, husband of Violet Cole Moore of Anderson, died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Eastman, Georgia on September 12, 1928, he was a son of the late Tommie "Tom" Moore and the late Mary Annie Patterson Moore. He was a graduate of Anderson Boy's High School and worked as a warehouse supervisor for many years at Orr-Lyons Mill. After retirement from textiles, he enjoyed working for several more years at White Jones Hardware. He was a member of LaFrance First Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Irene Moore Kirkland, his brother, Thurman Moore, and his grandchild, Parker Moore. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 10:30am-12:00pm at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd. Anderson, SC 29625 A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center. Burial will follow at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
