Obituary
Lona Gertrude Duke Howell, age 83, of Eastman. died Wednesday. April 29, 2009 in the Heart of Georgia Nursing Home.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a. m, on Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Gresston Congregational Holiness Church with Sister Margaret Arthur officiating. Interment followed in Gresston Holiness Cemetery.
Mrs. Howell, a native of Dodge County.was a member of Gresston Congregational Holiness Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie Mae Noles Duke and Preston Duke; and her husband James J. Howell.
Survivors include six daughters; two sons; two sisters; one brother; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were grandsons of Mrs. Howell. ? was the musician for the funeral service.
Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman was in charge of arrangements.
