MR. JESSIE WILLARD YANCEY, age 98, of Rhine, GA, died Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the Dodge County Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, October 29, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with Mr. Bobby Ryals and Mr. Jody Yancey officiating. Mr. Yancey was a lifelong resident of Rhine, a member and deacon of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and a retired farmer. He was a hard worker and a Godly man who loved his family dearly and strived to teach them how to pray and trust in their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Willard was the son of the late Jessie Mae Dowdy Yancey and Lewis “Tuck” Yancey and was preceded in death by his beloved Wife of 72 years, Hazel Cook Yancey, Granddaughter, Dana Lynn Yancey, and 3 Siblings, Dora Yancey Owens, Jack Yancey, and Todd Yancey. He is survived by his Daughter; 3 Sons; 4 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren; Great-Great-Grandchildren; Sister; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. The family may be contacted at the Yancey Family Cookhouse and will receive friends at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery from 10:00AM-11:00AM Saturday, October 29.
