-CHAUNCEY - Thomas S. "Tommy" Bland, age 70, of Chauncey, GA died Sunday, November 4, 2001 at his residence on Jay Bird Springs Road. -Funeral services will be held at 3P.M. Monday, November 5, in Southerland Funeral Chapel, Eastman, GA with Dr. Robert Herrington, Rev. Dahl McDermitt and Rev. Tim Brown officiating, with interment in Chauncey City Cemetery. -Mr. Bland was born in Laurens County, GA and had lived most of his life in Dodge County. He was a member of Chauncey United Methodist Church, co-founder of Wholesale Builders Supply in Eastman, former Assistant Manager of Jay Bird Springs and son of the late Thomas Albert Bland and Mattie Bell Stinson Bland. -Survivors include his wife; one daughter; one son; one sister; four grandchildren. -The family may be contacted at the Bland residence. -In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Chauncey United Methodist Church, c/o Kennon Graham, Chauncey, GA 31011 or the American Cancer Society, c/o SSFH, 206 Fifth Avenue, Eastman, GA 31023. -Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman has charge of arrangements.
