Obituary
Arthur Yawn, age 85, of Eastman, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009. at his residence.
Funeral services were held a 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Zebulon Baptist Church with Rev. Royce McClelland and Rev. Fred Parker officiating. Interment followed in Orphans Cemetery.
Mr. Yawn was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church, a WWII U.S. Army veteran and a retired aircraft mechanic for Warner Robins Air Force Base. He was preceded in death by his parents. Matilda Flanders Yawn and Franklin Yawn; his wife, Ruby Lee Yawn; a sister, Louise Gilliam; and three brothers. Doyle Yawn. James Yawn and Bennie Yawn.
Survivors include three daughters; five sons; sister-in-laws; caregiver; 14 grandchildren; and 34 great grandchildren.
