Obituary
MALOY: Funeral services for Hugh Thomas Maloy, 84, who died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, will be held Friday at 9:00 AM in the chapel of George H., Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206 with Rev. Jim Faircloth and Bro. Bobby Ryles officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery with Dr. Terry Gore officiating graveside.
The family will receive friends Thursday (Tonight) from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Maloy was born in Telfair County, Georgia residing in Jacksonville, FL the past 2 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII. He had retired from National Linen Service after 29 years of service. He was a member of New Daniels Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school and was a member Masonic Lodge #329, Scottish Rite, and active in the Shrine. He was past-president of the Lyons Club of Orlando.
Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years; 1 daughter; 1 sister; 2 grandsons; 5 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be .... Military honors will be held at the graveside.
