MRS. LINDA LENORA BECK YAWN, age 68, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, March 11, at Gresston Holiness Cemetery, with Rev. John Cadwell and Rev. Dwaine Dunn officiating. Mrs. Yawn was born in Jacksonville, FL, a member of Greenlawn Baptist Church, a 1966 graduate of Dodge County High School and a dedicated member of the Pilot Club of Eastman. She was a certified nursing assistant for over 30 years, formerly employed at Eastman Healthcare and Rehab and Abbeville Healthcare and was a volunteer for Hospice Care Options. She was a faithful wife to her husband J.R. Yawn and was an overall happy person. Linda enjoyed reading, spending time with her canine companion “Misty” and spending time with family and friends. She was daughter of the late Eva Nell Worth Beck & Cosley David Beck and was preceded in death by her Husband of over 25 years – John Ryals “J.R.” Yawn and her siblings – Claxton Beck and Murlean Beck Johnson. Survivors: 2 Brothers; 2 Step-Daughters; 5 Grandchildren; 1 Great-Granddaughter; 2 Brothers-in-Law; Several Nieces and Nephews.
