MRS. LAVERNE ALLEN COOPER, age 71, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, October 19, 2019 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, October 22, at Antioch #1 Baptist Church, with Rev. Fred Parker officiating, with interment in Antioch #1 Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Cooper was a lifelong resident of Eastman, a member of Antioch #1 Baptist Church, a former member of the Eastman Pilot Club, and a retired assistant manager at Eastern Finance for over 40 years. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and gardening and loved her dogs. She was daughter of the late Lunita Fullbright Allen and Hilton Allen and was preceded in death by an Infant Sister. Survivors: Son – Brandon Cooper (Stephanie) of Leesburg, GA; 2 Brothers – Leslie H. Allen (Clarice) of Griffin and William A. Allen (Lucy) of Eastman; Nieces – Vanessa Maynard (Jimmy) of Tucker and Hannah Rose (William) of Eastman; Great-Nephew – Axl Rose; Numerous extended family members and friends. The family may be contacted at the residence of William and Lucy Allen, 3309 Antioch Church Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Antioch #1 Baptist Church from 1:00PM-2:00PM Tuesday, October 22. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to Antioch #1 Baptist Church Building Fund.
