Obituary
Carrie McMillan Walker, age 86, of Jay Bird Springs died Thursday, September 24, 2009 in McRae Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held at 11 :00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Jay Bird Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Vaughn and Rev. Billy Baker officiating. Interment followed in McMillan Cemetery.
Mrs. Walker, a native of Dodge County, was a member of Jay Bird Springs Baptist Church, former secretary for Judge James B. O'Connor, and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, T. A. McMillan, founder of Jay Bird Springs and Mae Pearl Maloy McMillan, founder of Jay Bird Springs Baptist Church; her husband, T. R. Walker; her only son, W. McMillan Walker; two sisters, Tommie Mae O'Connor and Sallie Jual Howell.
Survivors include a grandson; former daughters-in-law; two,sisters-in-law; and caregiver.
Serving as pallbearers were ... .
