Irene Moore Ussery, age 83, of New Ellenton, South Carolina, died Friday. January 30, 2009. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p. m. on Monday, February 2. 2009, at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home in Aiken. South Carolina, with the Rev. Kirby Bunton and Shirley Thomas officiating. Interment followed in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Ussery was born in Eastman on August 4, 1925. She was a seamstress at S. R. Skinner in New Ellenton and other manufacturing companies. Mrs. Ussery was a member of Corinth.Baptist Church She loved to fish. cook and do needle work. She is preceded in death by her parents Samuel C. and Annie Foster Moore; her husband. Burnis; son, Sammy Ussery, and two sisters and three brothers. Survivors include her son and daughter; grandson; great-grandchildren: sister and dear family friends.
