Obituary
Lee Roy Sanford, 95, of Folkston, GA passed away Tuesday, September 14 in Fernandina Beach, FL. He was born January 1, 1926 in Fitzgerald, GA to the late Fred Lee Sanford and Bessie Jacobs Sanford. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from the City of Jacksonville Motor Pool. He was a faithful member of Grace Chapel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy Earlyne McCrimmon Sanford; 2-sisters: Delia Faye Sanford and Betty Todd; a brother: John William Sanford; a granddaughter: Dana Hatfield King; 2-great granddaughters: Ariel King and Brealyn Nesmith and a daughter-in-law: Brenda Sanford.
He is survived by his children; 2-sisters; a brother; 9-grandchildren; 9-great grandchildren; 4-great great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Grace Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. John Boatwright officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be ...
