Lessie Pearl Harrell, age 99, of Chesapeake, Virginia died Saturday. May 2, 2009 in Chesapeake Health Care Facility. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2009 from the graveside in Fair Haven Cemetery in Eastman with Rev. Wandell Lewis officiating. Mrs. Harrell, a native of Dodge County, was a member of Centerville Baptist Church. the Sassy Senior Club and RSVP. She was preceded in death by her parents, James R. and Sara Lewis; her husband. Ace Luke Harrell; four brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include her daughter; two granddaughters; three great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a sister; and a sister-in-law . A memorial service will be held at Centerville Baptist Church in Chesapeake, Virginia on Saturday. June 13. 2009 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to The Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Virginia 22312. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman was in charge of local arrangements.
