MR. J. B. ROLAND, age 80, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home. A private family service will be held at a later date. J.B. was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, of the Baptist Faith, and a retired employee for the Dodge County Road Department for over 15 years. He farmed for many years, was a self-employed pulp wooder, and a former employee of Dodge County Vault Company and a former pool installer for Davis Hanson Swimming Pool Installation. He enjoyed dealing in scrap metal in his later years, working with H & H Scrap Metal, and was an avid coon hunter, dog trainer and trader, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. J.B. was the son of the late Emma Lee Pittman Roland and Earnest Roland, widower of Faye Abney Roland, and was preceded in death by a Son, Mike German, and Sister, LaNora Spires. He is survived by his Daughter – Elaine Courter (Stan) of Kingston, GA; 4 Sons – Charles “Goat” Roland (Tammy), Andy Roland (Mindy), Danny German (Julie) all of Eastman, and David German (Dorothy) of Cochran; 8 Grandchildren – Todd German, Nick German, Christa Roland, Justin Roland, Andrea Roland (Josh Bryant), Conner German, Angel Spires (Lee), and Kristy Reneman (Cody); Several Great-Grandchildren; Sister – Wanda Lancaster (Charlie) of Eastman; Several Nieces and Nephews.
