Herman Ashley Moore, 75, of Helena, died on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020 in the Regency Hospital in Macon. He is preceded in death by his father, Hudson H. Moore and his mother, Edna Wright Moore. Herman was a Graduate of the University of Georgia, State Farm Insurance agent for 51 years, Chairman of the Development Authority of Telfair County, Board Member of the Merchants and Citizens Bank, Certified General Appraiser, Community Leader for Core Civic, past School Board Chairman of the Telfair County Board of Education, member of the McRae United Methodist Church and McRae United Methodist Men, member of the Rotary Club, member of the Cattlemen’s Association. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 18th, 2020 in the Telfair Memorial Gardens in McRae with the Rev. Tommy Mason officiating. ...will serve as pallbearers. He is survived by his wife DiAnne Moore of Helena; children; grandchildren; sister-in-law. His body will lie in state from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. in the McRae United Methodist Church on Friday, December 18th, 2020 for public viewing.
