DALTON CHANLEY ROGERS, age 21, of Rentz, GA, died Friday, December 1, 2017 as a result of an automobile accident in Laurens County. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, December 6, at Southerland Funeral Chapel. Dalton was born in Hawkinsville, of the Baptist faith and was employed by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice at the Eastman YDC as a correctional officer. He was a 2015 graduate of Dublin High School where he excelled in baseball and football. His achievements included being named the Class AA pitcher of the year as a high school senior. He enjoyed riding ATVs, spending time with family and friends and working in a career in law enforcement. He was always one that could brighten the room with his personality and enjoyed making others happy. Dalton was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, John Chanley Fulghum.
