MRS. SONYA SAWYER JACKSON, age 49, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, November 27, 2020 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Sonya was born in McRae, GA and was of Baptist faith. She was raised in Eastman and was a 1989 graduate of Dodge County High School. Mrs. Jackson was a retired cook for Side Track Cafe in Eastman and was a former warehouse manager for Pulaski State Prison in Hawkinsville. She also was a former employee at Captain D’s restaurant before moving to Forsyth to become a Captain D’s manager for several years. She was a loving daughter and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed shopping, running errands, taking care of her mother and had a love for animals, especially cats. Sonya was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Ray Sawyer. She is survived by her Mother; 1 Sister; 1 Niece; Aunts and Uncles; Numerous Cousins also survive.
