Mrs. Parkerson was born in Helena, GA, and served as a pastor's wife at various churches for many years. She was a 1941 graduate of Chauncey High School, a former Dodge County High School food service employee and a homemaker. She was daughter of the late Lantie Angelo Clark Grimes & Rev. Lennie Hiram Grimes, widow of Rev. Marvin Earl Parkerson and was preceded in death by 4 Siblings - Edgar Grimes, Christine Lowery, Janie Venecia Peacock and Thurston Lee Grimes. Survivors: 2 Daughters; 3 Grandchildren; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. The family may be contacted at the residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Tuesday, September 9.
