MR. JAMES WILLIE BASS, age 84, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, July 29, 2019 at Serenity Place Hospice in Dublin after a long battle with small cell carcinoma. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Bass was a lifelong native of Eastman, of the Baptist Faith, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a former truck driver for Stuckey’s, Inc. and J & M Trucking, and a former civil service employee at Robins AFB. He loved fishing, hunting, playing poker with his brothers, and gambling. He was son of the late Alice Smith Brown and Joe Henry Brown and was preceded in death by a Son, Wyatt Bass, Grandson, Michael Boone, and Brother, Donald Joe Bass. He is survived by his deeply devoted, loving, caregiving, and rock in life Wife of 14 years; 2 Daughters; 2 Sons; Step-Daughter; Several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; 2 Brothers; Faithful Canine Companion – Rebel; Several Nieces and Nephews.
