MRS. CATHY LEE WOODARD FORBES, age 69, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Dodge County Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, July 3, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Ronnie Jones officiating. Cathy was born in Eastman, a member of Central Baptist Church, and a retired maintenance worker for Middle Georgia State University for over 15 years. She was a former employee at the Eastman Dairy Queen for over 18 years, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, gardening, spending time with her family, and trips to St. Simon’s Island. Cathy was daughter of the late Martha Helen McLeroy Woodard and Carson J. Woodard, Sr. and was preceded in death by 2 Siblings, Carson J. “Jerry” Woodard, Jr. and Sherry M. Woodard. Survivors: Husband of 43 years; sons; Daughter; 6 Grandchildren; Sister; Brother; Sister-in-Law; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. The family may be contacted at the Forbes residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:30PM-2:00PM Wednesday, July 3.
