Obituary
Roddy – Lois Thompson Sawyer, age 91, died Sunday, August 8, 2021, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Belflower Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Sawyer, born in Dodge County, had lived in Callahan, FL and Screven County, GA, before moving to Roddy 12 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Monroe and Frederica Tripp Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim H. Sawyer, her sons, Michael Ray Sawyer and Jimmy M. Sawyer, her sisters and brothers, Gladys Graham, Evelyn Zumwalt, Jewel Yearty, Arthur Thompson, Woodrow Thompson and James Thompson. Mrs. Lois was a homemaker and member of Roddy Baptist Church.
Survivors are her sons,; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; her sisters; several nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends after the service Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home.
