Obituary

MRS. JUDY ANN GRUBBS BOUTWELL, age 72, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Dodge County Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, April 9, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Tyler Kirkley and Mr. Robert “Bob” Boutwell officiating, with interment in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Judy was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, a 1963 graduate of Dodge County High School, a 1980 graduate from Ben Hill Technical College at Dodge County Hospital with a her LPN certification, and a 1986 graduate of Middle Georgia College with her RN degree. She was a registered nurse for Dodge County Hospital from over 25 years and was a loving wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, and sister, who enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren. Judy was daughter of the late Velma Pridgen Grubbs and S.J. Grubbs and was preceded in death by 2 Sisters, Peggy Spires and Jackie Conley and a Brother, Charles T. Grubbs. She is survived by her Husband; 2 Sons; 4 Step-Daughters; 16 Grandchildren and Several Great-Grandchildren; 3 Sisters; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. The family may be contacted at the residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-2:00PM Tuesday, April 9. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Lakeside Assembly or a charity of the donor’s choice.
