Mary Alice Newberry Weston, age 85, of Eastman, died Thursday, May 21. 2009 in Heart of Georgia Nursing Home. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. May 23, 2009 in Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment followed in Orphans Cemetery. Mrs. Weston was born in Telfair County; was a member of First Christian Church and a retired food service coordinator for Dodge County Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents. Lovie Dempsey and J. W. Newberry; her husband, Steve R. Weston; and her son, Bobby F, Newberry. Survivors include three daughters. two sons; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were ... ? was pianist for the funeral service. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman was in charge of arrangements.
