Obituary
John William "J. W." Long. age 88, of Eastman died Sunday, April 5, 2009 in Dodge County Hospital. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. April 17, 2009 in Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Daniel Cook officiating. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Long was born in Bibb County, was a member of Cottondale Baptist Church. a retired textile employee of Reeves Brothers, Inc., and a veteran of the US. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents. Cleo Evans Long and Luther Long: and a son, Wendell Long.
Survivors include his wife; a step-daughter; two step-sons; six grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
