MRS. AVOLINE ROGERS SMITH, age 78, of Eastman, GA, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 at Bethany Nursing Home in Vidalia. Graveside memorial services will be held at 9:00AM Sunday, August 9, at Harrell Cemetery in the Midway Community, with Rev. Myron Parkerson officiating. Avoline was a native of Dodge County and a member of Freedom Worship Center in Eastman. After school, she married and began her family. She lived in several places and worked several jobs including as a Stuckey’s Store cashier, an apartment complex manager for over 10 years, and a hairdresser for many years. She was a dedicated and loving mother and the best Nanny around. Avoline enjoyed shopping, cooking, and taking care of her family. She was the daughter of the late Myrtice Jones Rogers and J.O. Rogers and widow of Clarence “Gene” Smith She is survived by her 4 Children; 10 Grandchildren; 14 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Sisters; Brother; Sister-in-law; Brother-in-law; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
