MR. ERNEST F. JONES, JR., age 86, of Dublin, GA, formerly of Eastman, GA, died Monday, September 21, 2020 at his residence. A private family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 22, at Plainfield Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Joel Dent officiating. Ernest was born in Eastman, a 1950 graduate of Dodge County High School, a graduate of Middle Georgia College, attended Georgia Tech, and was a 1955 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in accounting. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of First Baptist Church of Dublin, a member of the Kiwanis Club in Dublin for over 50 years, and owner and operator of Ernest Jones & Associates, CPA for over 60 years. Ernest was a dedicated, sincere, dependable, responsible, and caring person. He was the son of the late Grace Grissom and Ernest Fred Jones, Sr. and was preceded in death by Great-Granddaughter, Avery Klaire Dixon. He is survived by his Wife of 64 years; 2 Daughters; 3 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren; Special Family Member; Special Caretakers; Several Cousins and Numerous Friends.
