Ralph Eugene Hemphill, age 68, of Eastman, died Thursday, November 12, 2009. at his residence. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2009 in Southerland Funeral Chapel with Dr. Jerry Peele officiating. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mr. Hemphill was a retired pharmacy technician for Eastman Drugs for 35 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a former U. S. Army. National Guardsman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian McCranie Hemphill and Thomas Eugene Hemphill. Survivors include a daughter; son-in-law; two sisters; brother; and three grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Dodge County Hospital Emergency Medical Services or the donor's charity of choice. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman was in charge of arrangements.
