MRS. SHELBY JEAN JACKSON ATKINSON, age 78, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, June 12, 2020 at Serenity Place Hospice in Dublin. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, June 14, at Gresston Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Robbie Passmore officiating. Mrs. Atkinson was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, of the Baptist Faith, and a homemaker. She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family, singing, and listening to music. She was the daughter of the late Mattie Lou Evans Jackson and Ernest Grover Jackson and was preceded in death by a Son, William Timothy Atkinson, Sister, Margie “Toby” Jackson, and Brother, Ernest Guy Jackson. She is survived by her Husband of 58 years – William H. “Red” Atkinson of Eastman; 2 Daughters – Tamra Andrews (Scott) of Cochran and Deana Atkinson of Warner Robins; 3 Grandchildren – Phillip Odom (Britleigh) of Perry, Kelby Dykes of Warner Robins, and Jordan Odom of Cochran; Sister – Javene Smith of McRae; Several Nieces and Nephews.
