Robert Allen Bowen. age 80, of Milan, died Thursday, December 24, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2009 in Sand Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Gay and Bobby Ryals officiating. Interment followed in Sand Grove Cemetery with Rev. Joey Bohannon officiating. Mr. Bowen. a native of Dodge County. was a member of Sand Grove Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a Battalion Fire Chief for the Cobb County Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie Mae Walker Bowen and Fred Bowen; and a brother, James Ivan Bowen. Survivors include his wife; one daughter; granddaughter; grandson; sister; aunt; uncle, three sisters-in-law, and three brothers-in-law. Serving as pallbearers were ... ? were musicians for the funeral service. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman was in charge of arrangements.
