Obituary
Gray, GA- Funeral services for Katherine Geneva Bryan Brown, 88, of Gray, who died Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Pine Point Hospice in Macon, will be held Monday, July 3, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Fisher Funeral Home with burial following in Brown Cemetery, Yonker, Georgia.
Born in Laurens County to the late Walter Franklin and Effie Peacock Bryan, Katherine was the widow of Julian "Sox" Brown. She was a graduate of Chester School. She played the piano and organ for multiple churches in the community and led several gospel groups. She had a passion for using her musical talent as a ministry. She was a member of Baptist Gospel Mission in Twiggs County and more recently attended Gray Church of God.
Her family was of utmost importance and she values her time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends. Her siblings, Monteen B. Ard and Walter Bennis Bryan, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter; sons; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister; and sister-in-law.
The family will meet friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8 P.M.
