-EASTMAN - Warren Southerland, Sr., 82 died Friday, April 26, 2002 as a result of an automobile accident in Eastman. Funeral services will be held at 5P.M. Sunday, April 28, from the graveside in Woodlawn Cemetery, Eastman with Dr. Jerry Peele officiating. -Mr. Southerland was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member and Deacon of Eastman First Baptist Church and was member of the Max O'Neal Sunday School Class. He was Co-Founder of Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home in 1950, a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, member of the Georgia Funeral Directors Association and the Nation Funeral Director Association. A Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, he was a Charter member of the Eastman Lions Club, a member of Eugene Smith Masonic Lodge #279, an avid Gardener and son of the late Ransom Southerland and Minnie Ragan Southerland. -Survivors include his wife; daughter; son; three granddaughters; three grandsons; two great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews also survive. -The family may be contacted at Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home, 206 Fifth Avenue, Eastman, GA and request to omit all flowers and make donations to the donors charity of choice. -Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman has charge of arrangements.
