Ruthie Davis Ford, age 92, of Eastman died Saturday, October 17, 2009 in Dodge County Hospital. Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a. m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 in Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Watkins and Ronnie Barrentine officiating. Interment followed in Cottondale Cemetery. Mrs. Ford was born in Bleckley County and had lived most of her life in Dodge County. She was a member of Eastman Congregational Holiness Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy Elizabeth Byram Davis and J. W. Davis; her husband, William C. "Red" Ford, Sr.; a son, MacArthur Ford; twin daughters, Hildred and Mildred Ford; and a grandson, Jesse Hooks. Survivors include four daughters; two sons; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and three great, great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were grandsons of Mrs. Ford.
