MR. ROBERT WAYNE BEARDEN, SR., age 76, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, March 20, 2020 at his residence. A private family funeral service will be held later this week with Rev. John Cadwell officiating with interment in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Rhine. Wayne was a native of Dodge County, a 1961 graduate of Dodge County High School, and a member of Greenlawn Baptist Church. He was a former owner and operator of Levine’s and Bearden’s Department Store for many years, a former car salesman at Warner Robins Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury, where he was salesman of the year several times during his career, and a former Manager and Salesman for Shorty’s Used Cars in Eastman. Wayne was the son of the late Annie Blankenship Bearden and Gus W. Bearden and was preceded in death by 3 Brothers, Willis Bearden, Walden Bearden, and Wilmer Bearden. He is survived by his Wife of 31 years; Daughter; Son; 7 Grandsons; 7 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Sisters; Sister-in-law; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
