MR. WILSON DONALD BROWN, age 79, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Augusta Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, August 14, at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Tim Brown and Rev. Chuck Taylor officiating. Mr. Brown was born in Macon, GA and spent his formative years in Bibb County before moving with his family to Dodge County in the mid-1950s. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Eastman, attended Dodge County High School, and finished his education while serving in the Georgia National Guard. He was a former truck driver for Alfred Dorman and a retired aircraft mechanic for Robins AFB. He later farmed with J.T. Woodard Farms for several years. He was a former HAM radio operator for many years, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, was a true outdoorsman, and loved raising horses. Donald was the son of the late Lois Thompson Brown and Ellis Wilson Brown. He is survived by his Wife – Marilynn Spires Brown of Eastman; 7 Children; 24 Grandchildren; 26 Great-Grandchildren; Sister; Brother; Aunt; Several Nieces and Nephews. The family may be contacted at the Brown residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Friday, August 13.
