MRS. THELMA BLACK JOINER, age 82, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville. Funeral services will held at 3:00PM Sunday, April 7, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Mike Grenade officiating, with interment in Parkerson Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Joiner was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of Grace Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who loved flowers, cooking, crocheting, and sewing. She was daughter of the late Lola Bell Asbell Black and Harlow Black, widow of John Joiner, and was preceded in death by her Companion of many years, Benson Franklin “Muchie” Bennett, 2 Children, Johnnie Faye Morris and Harvey Joiner, 2 Son-in-Laws, Tommy Thompson and Jimmy Morris, and 2 Siblings, Brenda Black and H.F. Black. She is survived by: 2 Daughters – JoAnn Thompson of Plainfield and Charity Joiner of Eastman; 2 Sons – Pete Joiner (Faye) of Gresston and Danny Joiner (Renee) of Hawkinsville; Daughter-in-Law – Barbara Joiner; 14 Grandchildren and Several Great-Grandchildren; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. Serving as pallbearers are Eddie Charlovich, Justin Charlovich, John Thomas Charlovich, Michael Jones, Eddie Thompson, and Randy Smith.
