Chester – Evelyn Mullis Rowland, age 88, died Sunday, February 26, 2017, surrounded by her family and friends, in the Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in Rowland Chapel Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Rowland Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Rowland, born in Bleckley County, had lived most of her life in Dodge County. She was the daughter of the late Walter Franklin and Amanda Sirmons Mullis and the wife of the late Junior Ruben Rowland. She was preceded in death by her infant twins, her daughter Patsy Gail Rowland, her sister Claudia M. Floyd and her brother, Earl Mullis. She was retired from Mohawk Carpet in Dublin and had worked at L&H Shirt Factory. She was a member of Rowland Chapel Church of the Nazarene. Survivors are her children; sisters; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. The family is at and will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until time for the service Tuesday at Rowland Chapel Church.
